Hand printed sliver print 1989
Location the woods just on the outskirts of Holmewood council estate Bradford.
This is an original hand printed photography from 1989.
As you can see all the blue tack marks on the back from it being placed on various walls of places I’ve lived throughout its time.
I recently exhibited this work for the first time in my exhibition From Flowers (Dreaming of Lamorna ) 2024
This is one of the first photographs I took which wasn’t social documentary. I wanted to create a feeling of the loneliness and isolation I felt as a queer person growing up.
A surrealist image of the body placed face down while a running stream flows past the feet . This stillness next to the movement of flowing water.
